About Us
Who we are
EquiTable is a group of 25 passionate teens on a mission to bring equity to everyone’s table. As part of our year-long career readiness program, we're determined to tackle social issues affecting our community and beyond. Recognizing the pattern of disparity in healthcare, education, housing, and wealth, we have united to make a difference in our community.
Our initiative
Our initiative revolves around the power of food to unite and nurture cultural bonds. We're crafting an awareness campaign centered on cultural recipes that celebrate our shared humanity. We plan on spreading culture and ideas through food. Our interviews with elderly people, city leaders, and policymakers shed light on the importance of food equity. We are creating a recipe publication, website, podcast, and merchandise to address issues and raise awareness about food resources in metro Denver. We are working in tandem to bring people together with food, encourage cultural togetherness, and spread knowledge of food equity.

Career Pathways
The Career Pathways is a free career readiness program that helps teens with the transition from adolescence to adulthood, by preparing them for the realities of the modern job market. Over a 12-month period, teens go through three key phases of our journey;

the exploration phase,

the workforce development phase
which lead into paid summer internships across various sectors, with a focus on fostering personal growth and addressing social issues through entrepreneurship. The program guides teens, preparing for meaningful employment, equipping youth with essential skills for success in their chosen career paths. Teens will leave with work experience, essential skills they can apply to their future career, and a new understanding of their talents and goals.
